Terms and Conditions

Policies

At Skills Campus we want to deal with you in a professional, and straightforward manner. Below are our standard policies and operating procedures.

1. Bookings

1.1. Bookings are made on a “first-come, first-served” basis. If the course or event is already fully booked, applicants will be placed on a waiting list until another date will be guaranteed to run (this is applicable to trainer-led courses, both online and face-to-face).
‍1.2. Student places are not guaranteed until payment is received.
1.3. Our scheduled trainer-led classes are public – which means other learners will attend, up to a limited number per session, determined by Skills Campus.
1.4. A “private course” means a course organised exclusively for the organisation purchasing the training, where course participants are restricted to those selected by the company. A private course can be held at the organisation’s site or at Skills Campus’ premises. To confirm a private course booking date and the associated resources required to run the course, payment is required at the time of accepting the private course quote. The terms and conditions below are applied to private bookings as well.

2. Withdrawal, Transfer, Cancellation and Refunds

2.1. Skills Campus reserves the right to withdraw a learner from a course if the learner:
• is unduly disruptive or unruly during classes.
• is in possession of alcohol or offensive weapons on Skills Campus premises.
• has been involved in any form of harassment whether sexual or otherwise. The harassment could be verbal, visual, or behavioural in nature which is offensive and unwelcome.
• copies software or data onto Skills Campus computers without authority or virus checking.
• uses illegal or unlicensed software.
•  downloads offensive, pornographic or music, games, movies, or any form of virus or hacking software material on our computers/devices.
• has been caught cheating during exams or attempts to remove any equipment from Skills Campus premises without authority.

• has been involved in a breach of NZ Law e.g., possession of drugs. In these cases, there is no refund of any fees.
In these cases, there is no refund of any fees.

2.2 Skills Campus requires a minimum of 10 working days’ notice for any transfers or cancellations made to your booking of trainer-led teaching courses, both online and face-to-face (excluding packages that contain materials from our Learning Management System).
• If a minimum of 10 working days’ notice is provided, the learner may be able to postpone a course to a more suitable date or to cancel the booking – Skills Campus will provide a 100% refund (the refund amount will be the balance after the deduction of the transaction fees).
• If the learner requests a transfer or a cancellation between 10 and 5 working days’ notice, a 25% transfer fee or a 50% cancellation fee will be charged. If the learner requests a transfer less than 5 working days prior to the scheduled date, a 50% transfer fee will be charged.
• If the learner requests a cancellation less than 5 working days prior to the scheduled date, no refund will be provided.

2.3. Skills Campus is not responsible for any changes in personal circumstances. We will not be held liable for any unforeseen changes in circumstances once the learner is enrolled and course materials have been accepted at the requested delivery address. In these circumstances, an extension may be offered to allow additional time for completion of the self-study materials. Any requests for refunds on these grounds will be declined.
2.4.  Occasionally, due to unforeseen circumstances (such as trainer sickness, low course attendance, Government imposed measures: like lockdown, etc.), Skills Campus reserves the right to postpone or reschedule an offline, hybrid and face-to-face classroom course without notice. In such event, Skills Campus will contact the learner as soon as the change is known to organise new dates or a course transfer. Skills Campus will use all reasonable endeavours to avoid changes of this nature. Skills Campus will use all resources available to provide a replacement trainer or to reschedule the course and we will offer learners a variety of options to pursue their training programme.
2.5. For trainer-led courses delivered onsite, the learner must advise the trainer by 10:30 am on the first day of the course to be eligible to transfer to an appropriate course if they feel the course is not appropriate for them. Costs of digital materials provided by Skills Campus will be deducted from any transfer costs. The balance of the initial fee paid will be used to pay or part-pay for the new course. No refund will be provided.

Learners will have an additional two weeks’ access to their account beyond the 3-month registration.
